Open Farm Sunday: 13th June 2010, 10am - 3pm

Shropshire's Hainey Farm at Barway, near Ely, will open its gates to the public again for LEAF's annual Open Farm Sunday event in June.

A unique insight into one of the region's biggest family farming businesses, it offers a great family day out with a host of activities for all ages including:

• Farm tours of Shropshire's Isle of Ely celery fields by tractor and trailer.
• Farm Shop with a selection of fresh produce at unbeatable prices - and salad and vegetable plants for those who want to try growing their own!
• Machinery display of old and new, to show the part each one plays in producing your food.
• Information displays about what is involved in bringing your food to the shelves.
• Children's Tractor Arena with tractor-karting for the under-8's only! plus lots of other kids' activities.
• Raptor display of wonderful birds of prey.
• Barbecue and Ice Cream Van for refreshments.

Entry is free, with admission from 10.am to 3pm. Disabled facilities available. Sorry, no dogs allowed.
